Changi Airport, Singapore Wednesday 29th October
Seems we have been full circle - back at Changi airport - seems surreal we were here three weekd ago going west. No delays this flight.....
Frankfurt Airport Tuesday 28th October, 2008
After a nice couple of days with the Bots-Wilson and discovering Rotterdam, Den Hague and Delfshaven Linda and Hans drove the Travelling Goddesses to Amsterdam. A river canal cruise in the rain with Linda and Hans introduced us to Amsterdam on Sunday and the Goddesses took in the Rijkmuseum. Monday the sun greeted us for a self made walking tour of the Amsterdam, Anne Frank House, Bag and Purse Museum, Red Light District...we have seen many canals, bikes and trams. Today Tuesday we had slow start but visited Vincent Van Gogh in his impressive museum and then the train to Frankfurt Airport.
Photos will tell the story better....other people want to use the internet..so see you in Sydney.

Spijkenisee, Saturday 25th October, 2008
The Travelling Goddesses took the train from Berlin and arrived in Spijkenisee yesterday (Friday) with the Boot Wilson family and are enjoying the luxury of a non hotel life. Went to The Hague yesterday - charming city.
Sun is out today, just about to have a lovely home breakfast - Linda has declared the buns off limit because they are burnt and cancerous. One of the Travelling Goddesses is into the buns and has, drawing from her medical experience, declared them non cancerous.
...you have to be here to get it. Will sign off as coffee awaits.

Berlin Wednesday 22 October, 2008
A very busy few days in Berlin - no time for blogging. With the third travelling goddess from London we have seen much of Berlin and Potsdam. We finished today with a visit to see Nefereti in the Altes Museum. Berlin has a rich political history, fine buildings and a changing skyline. All goes well - to dinner now and then to pack for our departure to Rotterdam early tomorrow morning.

Sunday 19th October, 2008 Berlin
Arrived in Berlin late Saturday afternoon following more exploration of impressive Dreseden.
Today Sunday a four hour walking tour and general touring of Berlin. Very informative. A lot has changed since one of the TG's was here in 1977. Will let our photos speak for Berlin. All goes well - nice hotel and we have mastered trains and trams in Berlin. Cool but fine.

Munchen-Dresden Friday 17th October, 2008
Hello all. Another interesting day for the TGs. Up early for a 7.30 am departure for Dresden. The travel gods did not look kindly at the godesses - train late into Leipzig - meant a missed connection and delay into Dresden but here we are. Again the gods a giving us a run for our money (the goddesses are already for a challenge and an adventure) This adventure was no room at the inn - but managed with German precision we think we are in a better hotel with free breakfast.
Dresden very interesting -exceeding expectations. Very interesting mix of old and new. Hard to take in the history, wars and politics that have defined the city. Sadly unable to up load photos again - but stay tuned it will happen.
Travelling Goddess 2 here - as TG1 said it has been a very interesting day. Started with a 6hr train trip - 1st / Premium Class (fit for Goddesses) & finished the afternoon with a very intersting self guided walking tour of the old city centre of Dresden. I did a spontaneous live video cut (production by TG1) of the history of the famous Frauenkirche. Now for dinner & nice wine!
Is anybody reading this??????????????????????????????????

Munchen Thursday 16th October, 2008
Arrived safely in Munchen Tuesday night and found our way to the hotel. Up bright and early Wednesday morning (yesterday) to take the train to Salzburg to visit the Lettner´s in Thalgau. Great day at Thalgau, Mondsee and St Wolfgang and finished up with a walking tour of Salzburg. Enjoyed meeting Alois, Erica and Babsie. Very good English allround. Very poor German all round from the TGs. Sadly the facilities here do not allow some great photos of the day to be uploaded. Something to look forward to in future blogs.
Today (Thursday) went to Dachau concentration camp memorial. Well what can you say- a sobering experience. Some rain this afternoon. Walked around old city of Munich. Back at hotel resting and relaxing and preparing for Dresden tomorrow. Only purchase of the trip so far - two umbrellas! Our bit to help the world recover from the economic crises. All stockmarkets will be up tomorrow on the basis of this great demonstration of consumer confidence. We know ALL about it as CNN have found 452.5 ways to describe THE CRISIS. TGs expecting to be interviewed live by CNN any day.
Til the next blog.....

Hohenschwangau - Germany
Since our last post the TG's have been to Heidleberg and met a crazy tour leader who wanted to give us the history of the universe in 2 hours. But it was fun and Heidleberg was very pretty and the weather is great.
Sunday took us to Rothenberg otp Tauber to a pension run by a melbourne person. Again very sunny weather and lots of photos to share on return.
Monday (today) and we arrived in H....gau late this evening after very scenic bus trip down the romantic road via Dinklesburg etc.
All goes well, good food, wine and good times. What else is there to say.
Until next blog - the TG´s

Waiting at airport - Singapore
...dodgy engine number 2 is causing yet another wait. This time at Changi. Now departing...maybe... 2.30 am Singapore time that's 5.30am Sydney time Thursday. We are holding up well.
Travelling Goddess two has diagnosed the situation - but has refrained from giving the benefit of her wisdom..one more delay might just do it...
We could have a Burger King courtesy of Qantas but have decided to pass. Maybe a brandy?
Back to the papers and the Presidental campaign debate in Qantas Lounge

Travelling Goddess Europe vacation blog
It's a wet Saturday in Sydney . Of course one must be a blogger when on holidays to bore people to death even before one arrives home with all the FANTASTIC things that happened. It's less than 5 weeks until the Travelling Goddesses (please take care when replicating the logo it's capital T and capital G) depart for Europe. Now that I am a blog expert - the novelty may have passed. But you never know your luck the Travelling Goddesses might send blogs from Europe.
The question is: Did she inhale?
